# Updating primary email address

I want to update my primary email address. I added an additional email address and want to make that the primary. When I go to the [account settings page](https://huggingface.co/settings/account) and replace the primary email address then click Save Change, the old email address comoes right back. FWIW, the current primary email address owns an organization - I don’t know if that will make a difference.

Add new email in `Additional emails` section, verify your email, click on more option (vertical dots) near your new verified email and set it as primary
