I got banned from Huggingface. Do you think you could lift the ban?

My account was restored via email from safety@huggingface.co .
The immediate cause appears to be a filter in HF that scans Spaces, but HF is currently investigating the matter, including the possibility that it malfunctioned due to an error.
However, since we cannot rule out the possibility that there was an issue with my Spaces code, I am currently waiting to see the results of HF’s investigation.
Also, it seems there have been cases where people who were accidentally banned have been automatically unbanned without any specific notification, so I think it’s worth checking right now for banned people.

Hi, I’m the Staticaliza person who got their account banned back in mid-2025 for setting up “bad” space code (likely from an auto-filtering detection). I’m not sure if they would consider appealing my request if I send one now. But I did ask support about the ban back then and they did reply confirming the ban was intentional, however without giving any information or clue on what’s going on. Do ya’ll think I should try again?
(P.S. I don’t think I’m ok with the fact the frozen account is still displayed publicly, and possibly my personal data being there unless I have control of that account)

I think it’s worth a try. Also, aside from requesting reinstatement via email, you can also request to have your account deleted. In any case, HF is the only one who can handle account-related issues, so… website@huggingface.co

Except in exceptional cases (such as when it’s clearly the host’s fault), I believe you generally need to request to be unbaned via email… website@huggingface.co (or also safety@huggingface.co in this case…?)
