# 📌 Papers: Indexing & Authorship Claim — Quick Help

## 1) Indexing issues (paper page creation)
If you see **“Indexing failed or took too long”** or **“Paper not found”** :
1. Wait and retry later. Indexing can fail temporarily due to upstream availability.
2. Please don’t repeatedly click/refresh in a short time — it usually doesn’t help.
3. If it still fails after retrying later, create a new forum topic with:
- the arXiv link (e.g., `https://arxiv.org/abs/XXXX.XXXXX`)
- the exact error message
- when you tried
_Note:_ In many cases this resolves on its own, but sharing the link + error helps us check for persistent issues.
## 2) Authorship claim issues
If the paper page exists but claiming authorship is **rejected** , **pending** , or **stuck** :
**Before you contact support:** Authorship claim typically requires your profile name and account email(s) to match the paper’s author information (adding a secondary email may help).
**Pending:** Some claims are reviewed manually, so it can take a few days (e.g., around weekends/holidays).
**Rejected / stuck / can’t retry / “already claimed” / mis-assigned:**
Email **[website@huggingface.co](mailto:website@huggingface.co)** with:
- paper link (HF paper page)
- your HF username
- status/error text
- what you tried (name update, secondary email, etc.)
